Job Purpose And Summary:
As the Senior Manager – Retail Fulfillment Operations Insights and Analytics, you will serve as the strategic leader for all data-driven insights and analytics supporting the Retail Fulfillment Operations organization. This includes, but is not limited to, POS experience, Retail Online Fulfillment, and Front Store Innovation and Execution Operations insights and outcomes.
You will lead a team of three direct reports responsible for managing all data requests and analysis, strategic review of outcomes and recommendations, weekly and ad-hoc KPI tracking, leadership update deck builds, monthly operating reviews, and the maintenance of dashboards and reports that drive business decisions and store/field execution. Additionally, you will act as the liaison for budgeting, submissions, accruals, and spend management across the portfolio.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Insights & Analytics Leadership
- Lead the development and delivery of insights that inform operational decisions across POS, online fulfillment, and FS innovation.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and KPIs that support business performance and execution.
- Translates complex data into actionable recommendations for team leadership.
- Assigns appropriate timelines and accountabilities for items, empowering the team to drive action steps to completion.
- Navigates ambiguity and change to achieve goals despite potential obstacles.
- Leads and participates in meetings/calls with corporate partners and retail executives
- Owns follow-up and initiatives and KPI performance, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data and analysis through thorough checks and validation.
Team & Project Management
- Manage and develop a high-performing team
- Aligns the team to establish, update and maintain a clear set of actions across retail including interdependencies needed to achieve overall goals.
- Drive execution of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Provides both constructive and appreciative feedback on ideas and key initiative
- Look for ways to break through implementation barriers rather than be impeded by them.
- Identifies synergies amongst the current team, creating appropriate level of overlap to ensure continuality for team member absences (i.e. PTO) while still maintaining role clarity
- Depicts clear career road mapping opportunities for direct reports
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Store Operations, Retail Growth, Finance, and IT.
- Present insights and recommendations to executive audiences.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Financial Oversight & Operational Planning
- Responsible for budgeting, accruals, and spend management.
- Oversee annual submission of strategic and run the business budget request submissions.
- Partner with finance and operations to ensure accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
- Support monthly operating reviews and leadership updates.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years experience working in retail, or in similar model.
- 5+ years experience demonstrating the ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- 5+ years experience synthesizing data and making business recommendations to leaders on the path forward.
- 5+ years creating insight presentations from the synthesized data that has a strong narrative and critical recommendations with both strengths and opportunities.
- 5+ years experience leveraging strong communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Experience managing and leading others, particularly those with analytical skillsets.
- Adaptability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, which may include both remote and in-office work, while maintaining high productivity and communication standards.
- Proven track record of high performance.
- Advanced skills using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficiency in using analytics tools such as SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Occasional travel, up to 25%, may be required based on the needs of the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience working in retail, or in similar model
- 8+ years experience demonstrating the ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- 8+ years experience synthesizing data and making business recommendations to leaders on the path forward
- 8+ years creating insight presentations from the synthesized data that has a strong narrative and critical recommendations with both strengths and opportunities.
- 8+ years experience leveraging strong communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Advanced skills using analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, Python, etc. for data analysis and reporting.
Education:
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
