Job Description
naAs a Risk and Performance Analyst, you will support the delivery of investment risk and performance insights across OMIG’s fund range. You’ll assist in preparing high-quality risk and performance reports, enhance monitoring and analytics, and provide feedback that helps guide investment decisions.This position is ideal for a numerically minded, analytical professional with a passion for financial markets and the drive to improve systems and processes in a dynamic investment environment.
What You’ll Be Trusted With
- Assisting with monthly monitoring, analysis, and reporting of fund and benchmark risk and performance.
- Supporting GIPS preparation and composite reporting processes.
- Enhancing and automating investment risk and performance processes and reporting.
- Delivering investment risk and performance insights across institutional, life, and retail clients.
- Producing risk and attribution reports for portfolio managers on a daily and monthly basis.
- Engaging with portfolio managers, the CIO, and senior leaders on risk and performance matters.
- Identifying, analysing, and monitoring sources of risk and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Supporting investment committees through analysis and participation.
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of OMIG’s Performance and Risk Management Framework.
- Participating in ad hoc risk-return queries, ex-post analyses, and varied project work.
Who You Are
You are an analytical thinker who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is motivated to deepen your expertise in investment risk and performance. You bring:
- A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Finance, Quantitative Finance, or Economics.
- 1–3 years’ experience as a Risk and/or Performance Analyst.
- A strong understanding of financial instruments and markets.
- A demonstrated passion for financial markets and quantitative analysis.
- Programming or coding knowledge in R, Python, C++, C#, Java, and Excel VBA, with proficiency in PowerBI.
