The Position

Orchestration and Exception Management (O&EM) is a new and fundamental capability for
Technical Operations (PT) in order to deliver a future portfolio of Cell & Gene Therapy products.
This portfolio of new products comes with the great promise to bring unprecedented medical advances to patients but also presents unique challenges: living products (e.g. cells) need to be delivered to patients in highly individualized supply chain models, which meet fast turn-around times at a zero-error quality level. Orchestration and Exceptions Management is one of three end-to-end value chain groups, responsible for the “virtual treatment journey” (data, transactions and documents). It is complementary to supply chain management that focuses on the “physical journey” (materials, specimens, product) and patient operations, responsible for the “patient journey”.

The Opportunity

The PTC (Pharma Technical Cell & Gene Therapies) ASPIRE Deployment Lead (DPL) supports the group wide ASPIRE program. He/she represents PTC’s interests as well as the program’s interests. In this role, the Deployment Lead is a member of the Wave Deployment Leadership team consisting of all DPLs, Capability Leads, wave SPOCs and more.  He/she enables successful business transformation by:

  • Connecting team members with the core team
  • Engaging people in the function across sites & Collaborating across sites to enable success
  • Standardizing business processes & systems

Key Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Regular visibility with and active engagement of the PTCS Leadership Team (LT) and Sponsor to secure their buy-in.
  • Leading, forming, and developing the PTC deployment team, which includes coordinating the nomination and onboarding of SMEs.
  • Aligning with other PTC Deployment Leads in parallel projects to manage shared resources, especially during critical stages.
  • Responsibility for reviewing and aligning on the global project plan, as well as coordinating detailed local execution, including budgeting, schedules, and resource planning.
  • Ownership of the local impact assessment and its execution, including evaluating the impact on downtime schedules and aligning with other sites.
  • Identifying and managing resistance and project risks, and coaching, motivating, and leading people through the change process.
  • Representing PTC in Capability Teams, such as Cutover, to ensure the successful execution of the go-live process.

Who You Are

You have strong communication and presentation skills, allowing you to convey ideas clearly and persuasively. Your influencing skills are well-developed, enabling you to guide discussions and achieve desired outcomes. You can perform effectively under pressure, making sound decisions and expertly prioritizing tasks even in demanding situations. You are an organized self-starter, detail and results oriented, proven ability to meet milestones and hence able to work under pressure and balance priorities.

Furthermore, you bring the below qualifications and experience:

  • Educational background in Project Management, IT , Pharma, Cell & Gene Therapies,or similar, Master degree preferred
  • Project leadership experience in SAFE/Agile framework as well as a demonstrated delivery focus and execution, preferable in areas Intercompany, Marketing Plan to Cash and Demand to Pay
  • Experience with SAP on S/4 Hana, ideally in implementation projects  
  • Process transformation and large global transformation program experience is a benefit
  • Fluent English language skills both written & spoken
