Aerodynamics Leader : Long Range and Wide Body Integrator (H/F)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Aerodynamics Leader : Long Range and Wide Body Integrator (F/M) to join our Component Aerodynamics Team based in Toulouse, France.

The aerodynamic propulsion design team is responsible for the shape design of the propulsive system including Inlet, Nacelle, Nozzle, Pylon and Airsystems. We are currently an educated buyer for thrust reversers and propellers. Today we are working on many innovative projects which are driving technological developments for the next range of Airbus products (ZeroE, eAction-C, Ultrafan and Incremental Modifications).

The aerodynamics propulsion design team is searching for a lead integrator covering the scope of the A350 Ultrafan Flight Test Demonstrator, A350 Product and A330 Incremental Development. The integrator is a member of the Propulsion Working Group. This group is responsible for the multidisciplinary design and integration of propulsive system developments. Additionally they support the flight clearance activities. This is a key interface for airframe, systems, flight physics, chief engineering and engine and nacelle manufacturers. Additionally this role covers all aerodynamics propulsion project management activities during the development.

Your Challenges :

• Represent Aerodynamics within Airbus for the whole propulsive system on a given aircraft programme.
• Lead Aerodynamics discussions and negotiations with Engine and Nacelle manufacturers to ensure the best propulsive system performance and integration.
• Provide a plan of activities and budget estimation to the Product Domain Manager (PDM).
• Monitor the aerodynamic propulsion deliveries and communicate to stakeholders.
• Deliver Propulsion System aerodynamic shapes (Inlet, Nacelle, Nozzle, Pylon and Air systems) with the objective to maximise aerodynamic performance while respecting engine and aircraft specifications and constraints.
• Work with propulsion and flight test domains to prepare, follow, and coordinate the analysis of propulsion tests (Flight Test, Ground Test, Bench Test etc).
• Provide aerodynamics support to other working groups (integration, structures, systems, loads).

Your Boarding Pass :

• 7+ years experience in aerospace engineering (Mandatory).
• Supplier management experience (Mandatory)
• Experience in engineering design (Mandatory)
• Experience in computation fluid dynamics (Non-mandatory but academic knowledge required).
• Aerodynamics experience (Non-mandatory but academic knowledge required).
