Job Description

S/4HANA Finance migration consultant will be responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of financial data from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA Finance modules. This role requires deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance, data migration methodologies, and strong analytical skills to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance throughout the migration lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute data migration activities for SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation projects.
• Analyze legacy financial data and map it accurately to SAP S/4HANA Finance data structures (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, etc.).
• Design and develop data migration strategies, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and IT teams to understand data requirements and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Develop and maintain migration tools, scripts, and templates (e.g., SAP Data Services, LSMW, SAP Migration Cockpit).
• Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data integrity and completeness after migration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues and errors in coordination with the technical team.
• Document migration processes, data mapping, test cases, and results.
• Support cutover planning and post-migration support to ensure smooth transition and system stabilization.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements related to data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in SAP S/4HANA Finance data migration or related SAP finance modules.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture and business processes.
• Hands-on experience with data migration tools such as SAP Data Services, LSMW, SAP Migration Cockpit, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with legacy systems and ERP data structures.
• Excellent SQL and data manipulation skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience in financial data reconciliation and validation processes.
• Knowledge of SAP FI, CO, and Asset Accounting modules preferred.
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies is a plus.
