The Manufacturing Solutions group within the Test Equipment Engineering directorate is seeking a Production Control Specialist (PCS) who will work with multiple organizations and roles to manage and forecast the procurement deliveries, hurdles, and material receipt for engineering electrical and mechanical hardware builds and capital purchases.
The Production Control Specialist (PCS) will monitor and expedite Supply Chain activities associated with the fabrication of prototype assemblies. This position includes generating and monitoring the progression of multiple requisitions throughout the procurement cycle, facilitating resolution of procurement issues, and insuring items are delivered to meet customers’ schedules. The Production Control Specialist (PCS) will continuously identify and implement improvement opportunities and report this information to multiple requesting organizations.
This position is 100% ONSITE in Tucson, Arizona.
What You Will Do
- Resolve procurement issues timely
- Maintain contact with supply base, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met
- Participate in procurement, management, and disposition of material required for engineering development
- Organize, prioritize and schedule tasks associated with hardware procurement in conjunction with Integrated Product Team lead (IPTL), Engineering Authority (REA’s), internal or external manufacturing facilities
- Deliver progress updates to Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Property, and Program Management partners
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and less than
- Typically requires less than 2 years’ of relevant work experience
- Minimum one (1) year work experience with material procurement
- Experience with material planning, scheduling and/or forecasting
- US Citizen - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
- BS or BA in Business Administration, General Management, or related degree
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning System (MRP)
- Experience with Contractor Acquired Material (CAM) policies and requirements
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) requirement
- Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools
- Experience with prioritizing activities and maintaining ongoing status with multiple stakeholders

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
