Samsung is in search for a Senior Manager of Finance Operations (FinOps), based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This leader plays an integral part within the Consumer Electronics Retail Operations (CERO) team. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluate, design and implement annual Budget planning and processes, create Financial Forecasts and make Budgeting Negotiations and Allocation decisions, while ensuring business growth and compliance with the policy
- Manage all financial aspects of the CERO team: Monitor / Audit / Report Expenses and third-party agency PP/PO approvals, invoicing, etc.
- Efficiently manage CERO Operating Expenses (OpEx), Marketing Expenses, and Vendor Contracts
- Serve as PMO by providing strategic financial oversight for CE project management teams, and standardizing the project-related management processes
- Provide financial analysis and metrics of the team productivity to VP/LT/Exec then suggest strategic initiatives to improve workflow, teamwork and budget management
- Analyze and optimize budgets based on spend data and performance; identify/mitigate variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period
- Represent the collective CERO team and serve as the main point of contact for constituents within the CFO’s office, Sales Finance, Marketing Finance, Legal, Compliance and Procurement teams
- Directly manages and mentors (3) Finance Planning and Operations Analysts
Skills And Qualifications
- Financial acumen; understanding of how large companies operate
- Proficient in analyzing systems, processes, figures
- Capable of creating recommendations based on the “data at hand” and the understanding of the business conditions
- Ability to effectively & simultaneously manage multiple projects and timelines
- Adept at managing external agencies in matters of billing, proposals, negotiations & contracts
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in translating intricate technical or strategic concepts into concise, actionable insights tailored for C-suite executives
- Self-starter, question asker with a continuous obsession over all the small details
- Experience in Tech and/or Retail is preferred
- 5-7 years in a managerial role
- Expert level user of Excel and PowerPoint
- B.A. / B.S. College Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in New Jersey, is expected to be between $157,500 and $194,500. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
