Part-Time Position

What You Get To Do:

  • Report to the Manager of Social Media and Content, you will help lead and execute our organic social media strategies for SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, and Discovery Cove.

Content Creation And Publishing:

  • Support day-to-day content creation, publishing, and community engagement across multiple social media platforms and channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, X, YouTube).
  • Plan, write, and edit engaging, on-brand copy for social media posts (captions, text-overlays, ad copy, stories, short-form video scripts, etc.) with ability to easily switch tone of voice between brands for a variety of digital platforms and diverse audiences.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager with managing content calendars using Airtable, contributing creative ideas, and keeping deliverables on schedule.
  • Schedule and publish approved content across social media platforms using Sprinklr, following established approval processes.
  • Coordinate with in-park teams and content producers to create assets for social channels, website, email, etc.
  • Strong creative mindset with a keen eye for photography and video, specifically tailored for social media content.
  • Source high-quality or high-potential user-generated content on a weekly basis to be used on social channels.
  • Proactively identify and act on opportunities for the brand/s to engage with relevant conversations, trends, and user content across social platforms.
  • Continuously monitor and apply the latest social media trends, platform features, and industry best practices to drive innovative content and engagement.
  • Direct photo/video shoots in park.

Reporting

  • Create monthly social reports to track performance and ad-hoc campaign reports that highlight results and guide future creative strategies
  • Track influencer content performance and gather insights following media events, influencer visits, and special campaigns to inform future strategy using Upfluence.

Influencer/Media Relations

  • Support influencer marketing efforts, including vetting potential influencers, outreach, coordination, and tracking performance of influencer partnerships and campaigns.
  • Manage the social media inbox to ensure timely, brand-appropriate responses and surface partnership opportunities to Social Media Manager.
  • Manage and update database of media contacts, including curating media lists for media events.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with media contacts and influencers.
  • Assist with media days, press events, and other outreach initiatives, ensuring brand representation is professional, approachable, and engaging.

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Foster positive relationships by communicating professionally, listening actively, and treating all stakeholders with respect.
  • Serve as a key player in the annual marketing planning process including new attractions, shows, events, culinary locations, and other park initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with other duties, included office assistance as needed.

What It Takes To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience managing social media platforms, including content creation, management and reporting.
  • Hospitality, theme park, zoo, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone across multiple brand voices (family-friendly, luxury, playful).
  • Experience using social media management platforms preferred (Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, etc)
  • Proficiency in content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar).
  • Must be comfortable on camera.
  • A passion for storytelling, guest engagement, and creating memorable brand experiences.
  • Have a valid Driver’s license and able to meet company driving guidelines.
  • Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
  • Work regularly Monday through Friday but with flexibility based on business need to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, organic social media, and paid social media.
  • Ability to multitask, while being highly organized, and managing multiple work streams while supporting administrative needs for the team.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, engaging with others in a kind, professional, and responsive manner.
