About The Role:

MSS Security is seeking a part-time Control Room Operator (day shift, Monday to Friday, no weekends) to join our team at the University of Melbourne. Based at our Parkville location, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic control room environment managing security operations across multiple campuses and overseeing more than 1,000 CCTV cameras via a 6 screen workstation.
 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Operate CCTV, alarm systems, and Gallagher access control software to manage site security
• Analyse CCTV footage for investigative purposes and support incident follow-up by providing detailed reports and video evidence as required
• Take charge of incident response by promptly dispatching security personnel and enforcing security protocols
• Acting as the central communication hub for routine and emergency operations
• Monitor and control building access points to ensure only authorised personnel enter the premises
• Full Australian Working Rights
• Must hold a current Victorian security license with the control room subcategory endorsement
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
• Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Available to work 12-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday
• Experience working in a control room and proficient IT skills required
• Master License Number: 409-987-30S
