The Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing guidance and oversight to a team of employees.  
  • Managing a team of Scientists, Technicians and Students.
  • Assuming a leadership role in project teams ensuring that client and partnership projects are delivered on time with a focus on building collaborative relationships and providing superior customer service.
  • Overseeing multiple projects at one time, easily being able to switch between projects.
  • Managing the required analytical support within the PD department and communicating updates to other Senior Scientists, PD management, project managers and clients.
  • Supervising analysts and reviewing the laboratory work to ensure work is compliant with company’s QA Policy and cGMP.
  • Developing modern analytical methodologies using quality by design (QbD) and design of experiments (DoE) methodologies to identify and understand design space and critical instrument parameters.
  • Transferring technology to technical staff, as a member of the project team working effectively with both the PD and Quality Control groups.
  • Troubleshooting, problem solving and implementing continuous improvements to analytical methods and the laboratory environment.
  • Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor’s request.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biologics, or related fields.
  • Fours years of Analytical experience or similar field.
  • Hplc Experience.

Desired:

  • Master of Science or a Ph.D.
  • Cgmp Experience.

  • Method validation, development and qualification experience.
  • Leadership Skills.

  • Method Development.

  • Endotoxin Experience.

  • Plate Reader Experience.

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $91,646.00 - $143,198.00/yr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
