Executive Manager, Insurance Product Management
We are seeking a talented individual to join Mercer Super to lead our Insurance Product team. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working three days a week in the office in either Sydney or Melbourne.
This is a pivotal role responsible for managing our group life insurance and superannuation solutions that deliver value to our members.
We will count on you to:
- Lead and manage the insurance product suite, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy and delivering robust governance, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee insurance tenders, product documentation, market benchmarking, and new business quotes to maintain a competitive and compliant insurance offer.
- Provide leadership to a team of insurance professionals, fostering development, engagement, and performance to deliver on operating plans and team objectives.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external insurance providers to maintain up-to-date market knowledge and optimise product outcomes.
- Deliver Board and management reporting, maintaining high standards of accuracy and insight for various stakeholders.
What You Need To Have:
- A tertiary qualification in business, financial services, or a related discipline, combined with 10+ years’ experience in financial services, specialising in group life insurance and superannuation.
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving capabilities to handle competing priorities calmly and efficiently.
- In-depth technical expertise in group life insurance products and corporate master trusts, with sound knowledge of the legislative and competitive landscape.
- RG146 qualification in insurance is preferred.
