Controls Systems Technician III

What you will do 

• Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools 
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems 
• Respond to basic warranty calls 

How you will do it 

• Load system-level controller software.
• Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation 
• Keep management and JCI contractors or customers informed of job progress and issues 
• Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment 
• Complete administrative tasks, including but not limited to: time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation 
• Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation 
• Communicate with the JCI contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site 
• Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training.
• High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety 

What we look for 

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational School four-year program graduate, -or- an associate degree in a technical field, -or- two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.  
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites. 
• Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.  
• Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as an understanding of programs and software applications.  
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.  

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25.19 - $___ (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
