At NZAA, we’ve been guiding life’s journeys for over 120 years. As we continue to evolve, we’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our newly formed Integration Team—a cross-functional team dedicated to delivering seamless, secure, and scalable system connections across our platforms. 

🧭 What You’ll Be Doing – Mō te Tūranga 

As a Senior BA in the Integration Team, you’ll lead initiatives that: 

• Drive the successful integration of NZAA Benefit Partners and internal systems. 
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and architects to design and implement integration solutions. 
• Refine and document integration-related user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements. 
• Ensure API documentation is accurate and complete. 
• Support change management processes and stakeholder communication. 
• Mentor other BAs and uplift capability across the team and wider BA practice. 

You’ll be a key liaison between platform teams and integration specialists, helping shape the future of how NZAA systems connect and deliver value. 

🔍 Key Responsibilities – Ngā Haepapa 

• Lead discovery and framing using Design Thinking, Lean, and Agile principles. 
• Translate complex stakeholder needs into actionable integration requirements. 
• Develop process maps, interface specifications, and data mapping rules. 
• Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and delivery of integration solutions. 
• Contribute to integration standards and governance frameworks. 
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement rituals. 
• 👤 About You – Mōu 
• You’re a strategic thinker and systems navigator with: 
• Lead discovery and framing using Design Thinking, Lean, and Agile principles. 
• Translate complex stakeholder needs into actionable integration requirements. 
• Develop process maps, interface specifications, and data mapping rules. 
• Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and delivery of integration solutions. 
• Contribute to integration standards and governance frameworks. 
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement rituals. 
• 👤 About You – Mōu 
• You’re a strategic thinker and systems navigator with: 
• 8+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in complex environments. 
• Proven experience in integration projects, including API and service design. 
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery and product/project models. 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 
• Familiarity with tools like Miro, Jira, and Confluence. 
• BA certification (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA) and tertiary qualification (preferred).
