Based in Istanbul, Türkiye, this role offers a dynamic, collaborative work environment at the heart of a global healthcare leader. You will report directly to the Senior Legal Director for the TUMECA region and partner closely with cross-functional teams. While the position is primarily office-based, occasional travel within the broader region may be required to support business needs and foster strong stakeholder relationships. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Provide commercially oriented operational legal support and strategic guidance to management/business units/functions of Medtronic in Turkiye, including providing advice on commercial law, competition law, employment law, public procurement law and product liability, with a high degree of independence.
• Counsel business clients practically and strategically on legal issues relating to the businesses/operations in question
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including sales, distribution, service, supply, confidentiality and collaboration agreements
• Provide operational support on the daily activities of the local operations, including rendering support to the various functions (HR, Pricing, Regulatory)
• Overseeing and supporting the consistent implementation of strategic legal projects on local level
• Support the EurAsia Legal team on new processes and projects to ensure local implementation and effective incorporation of legal requirements into local commercial and business activities.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation
• Prepare and conduct meetings and training sessions with employees on Medtronic policies and procedures 
• Participate in & share best practices with the EurAsia Legal team
• Effectively manage relationships with outside counsels to maximize the quality of representation and minimize legal expenses 

Required Knowledge And Experience:

• Strong academic credentials from a recognized law school and licensed lawyer in Türkiye 
• Fluency in business/ legal English, both in written and oral 
• Minimum 4 - 5 years’ post internship legal practice in a top law firm and/ or an international company.
• Excellent legal skills and commercial acumen.
• Solid judgment and integrity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate with ease at different levels of hierarchy
• Strong organizational and priority setting skills, being able to work on various projects at the same time.
• Positive and proactive approach, including driving processes in a complex environment.
• Team player; able to “build bridges” and be “principled” at the same time.
• Industry experience (in medical devices or pharmaceuticals) highly desirable, but not essential.
