This role requires on-site presence at Asda House in Leeds three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!

We're looking for a Data Product Manager to join our Data Team. In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of high-impact data products that generate measurable value across Asda, working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable product roadmaps.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping data solutions that are strategically beneficial, technically sound, and user-focused, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical capabilities. Your work will help ensure our data products meet stakeholder expectations and support informed, data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in product management, a strong understanding of data & analytics, and a passion for creating intuitive, high-value solutions that enhance user experience.

Your Role (Key Responsibilities)

  • Create, manage and maintain the product backlogs and roadmaps, aligning them with Asda priorities, user experience and stakeholder feedback to refine value delivery.
  • Align product roadmaps and priorities with broader Asda goals, balancing immediate delivery with long-term strategic vision.
  • Act as a conduit between business requirements and technical teams, translating complicated requirements into simple to understand value and visa versa. Clearly articulating progress and outcomes to a broad set of audiences.
  • Clearly communicate and represent the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure that data products consistently deliver measurable value. Define, track, and report on key performance indicators to evaluate product success and inform future development.
  • Ensure all data products comply with established architecture, data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote and embed agile methodologies and best practices in data product delivery and lifecycle management.
  • Support the growth of product management as a discipline within the Data team and across Asda, cultivating a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Line manage and mentor a team of Analysts and/or Associate Product Owners, supporting their development and ensuring delivery of high-quality products.

About You (Experience & Qualifications)

  • Proven experience in product management or a similar role within the data domain utilising agile & iterative development & delivery methodologies to drive value.
  • Strong communicator and facilitator, confident working across all levels of the organisation, skilled at building strong relationships across multi disciplined teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into actionable data product roadmaps.
  • Passionate about innovation and continuous improvement in data and product delivery.
  • Adaptable and comfortable in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Proficient in using prioritisation frameworks to balance user needs, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Analytical and curious, with strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach.

We welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time hours, flexible working arrangements, or job share opportunities.
