Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

Job Summary: Responsible for network planning, implementation and maintenance of mobile communication networks in the assigned area. This includes designing, installing, testing and optimizing cellular sites, antennas, switches, routers, amplifiers, filters and other network elements to ensure they meet operational requirements. The position also involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• Perform site surveys to identify suitable locations for new or upgraded cellular sites.
• Install, configure and test network equipment such as cellular sites, antennas, switches, routers, amplifiers, filters and other network elements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the network infrastructure, including problems with transmission lines, switches, routers, amplifiers, filters and other network elements.
• Monitor network performance and optimize it to ensure high quality service to subscribers.
• Provide technical support to field technicians and customers by diagnosing and solving problems remotely or on-site.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and prepare reports detailing network issues and solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve network reliability and performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of network upgrade plans.
• Conduct post-implementation audits to verify compliance with specifications and standards.

Qualifications:
• Diploma/Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering or any other relevant field.
• Experience in telecommunication engineering or network operations.

• • Good understanding of radio frequency (RF) principles and wireless communication systems.
• • Knowledge of cellular technology, protocols and standards.
• • Familiarity with network components such as cellular sites, antennas, switches, routers, amplifiers, filters and other network elements.
• • Ability to analyze complex technical data and solve problems.
• • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
• • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• • Willingness to work in a challenging environment and at odd hours when required.
