WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

SimCorp is developing a new game changing Software-as-a-Service solution for Performance Measurement and Attribution, which will allow Investment Managers to analyze their investments in a modern web application. It is connected to a high-performance computing calculation engine in the back-end, thus combining more than 50 years of industry-leading experience of SimCorp with a modern user experience and cloud computing, enabling users to do in minutes what used to take hours.

If you want to work with high performance computing on business-critical applications, we are looking for you. Whether your strength is deep engineering expertise or a mix of tech and finance knowledge, we will help you grow in both areas.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Build solutions: collaborate closely with your team, Product Managers, Architects, peers and end-users to deliver high-quality, secure and valuable solutions in the Performance Product Area.
  • Contribute across the entire development lifecycle - from requirements analysis and design to implementation, test automation, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Drive performance optimization (profiling, bottleneck removal, caching, async) and improve build/test times.
  • Raise the bar on engineering excellence (CI/CD, trunk‑based development, code reviews, observability) and continuously improve our ways of working.
  • Think beyond the code: Understand our strategy, goals and customer needs to enhance SimCorp’s impact.
  • Mentor, coach, and help colleagues to secure the team’s deliveries as well as quality and product architecture.

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET Core/Framework, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices, including CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based development. We use Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with cloud engineering. We use Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid understanding of automated testing and quality assurance practices.
  • You are willing to learn the investment performance & attribution domain.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • You have a Master’s degree or higher in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Finance, Physics, Mathematics, Economics or similar experience.
  • Financial knowledge is a plus, otherwise we will bring you up to speed with training, onboarding, and technical discussions.

Benefits

Competitive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement. However, in SimCorp, we believe we can offer more. Therefore, in addition to the traditional benefit scheme, we provide an excellent work & life balance: flexible work hours, a hybrid workplace model. On top of that, we have IP sprints where you have 3 weeks per quarter you can spend on mastering your skills as well as contributing to the company development. There is never just only one route - we practice an individual approach to professional development to support the direction you want to take.
