JOB SUMMARY This role teaches, coaches, trains and provides ongoing day to day support to all team members inside and outside of the classroom, which includes both new and existing employees. The incumbent assists management in review and analysis of training results and quality analysis (QA) trends in order to improve overall performance within the department. Incumbent is responsible for some department communications pertaining to both new and updates to existing P&P.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $22.00-$24.00 hourly.  Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity.  This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.  

  JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Act as department On the Job Trainer (OJT) for incoming new hire classes. Acts as a coach team members to ensure optimal quality, consistency, and performance. Closely monitor the performance of less experienced team members to ensure standards for quality are continuously met.
2. Collaborate with training and department leadership specific to the training agenda. Provide input on enhancements and curriculum as appropriate.
3. Ensure content of the training agenda and classroom activities are accurate and up-to-date.
4. Respond to process questions from team members and training as necessary.
5. Impart technical knowledge to staff that will aide in performance of their roles.
6. Provide staff with coaching to achieve performance results.
7. Aid in the management of team members professional growth through collaboration with department leadership to identify individual training needs concerning performance, productivity,quality and the assurance that training goals are met. May include Phone Call Monitoring and Claim/Service Case Quality review.
8. Prepare reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of information and trends when requested by department leadership.
9. Periodically participate in the execution of all duties performed by staffto include but not limited to: phone calls, inventory, sup / work queue, rosters, escalations.
10. Utilize expertise in the execution of training to all levels of department staff as necessary.
11. Identify ways to improve current processes, procedures, environment and policies and communicate to management as appropriate.
12. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
13. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
14. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training) * Minimum GED or high school diploma coupled with 2 years' experience in Negotiation / Support services or healthcare/customer service outside role involving leadership/training.
* Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable
* Knowledge of phone techniques
* Knowledge of medical and claim terminology is desired
* Knowledge of healthcare/managed care industry, types of services and general business processes is desired
* Communication (written, verbal, listening), organizational, problem solving, leadership, customer service, interpersonal, follow up and data entry skills
* Ability to train, coach and support all team members both inside and outside of a classroom setting
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Ability to use and interpret multiple systems for claims research, contract interpretation, fee schedule rates, provider network status, application and nomination guidance and data integrity.
* Ability to work, effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize and manage time in a fast paced call center environment
* Ability to identify problem issues and determine the appropriate course of action/redirection within department guidelines required to resolve issues
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Ability to resolve issues of conflict in a tactful and professional manner and to effectively diffuse irate callers
* Ability to use software, hardware and peripherals related to job responsibilities including MS Office Suites, database software, etc.
* Ability to train, coach and support all team members both inside and outside of a classroom setting
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Ability to travel
* Ability to abide by scheduled hours of work with regular and consistent attendance.
* Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone.
