About The Role

Our Incident Management Support team oversee Operational Emergency Responses and as Senior Advisor you will be responsible for the provision of strategic and tactical emergency management coordination and advice in line with state legislation, policy and processes during critical incidents (e.g. adverse weather) statewide. You will manage and coordinate future development planning of the Water Corporation Critical Incident Management System engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you will enhance Water Corporation engagement and interagency relationships with leading stakeholders in emergency management and design and deliver emergency management training programs statewide. What you can expect with this role

  • Advising on incident management processes and state legislation, regulations and policy including during incidents.
  • Statewide oversight and advice to Water Corporation for emergency management.
  • Managing the Critical Incident Management System (Currently WEB EOC).
  • Enhancing incident management capability within Water Corporation by identifying skill and training gaps.
  • Engaging with and building working relationships with the Emergency Management Community and stakeholders.
  • Complying with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policy, and ethical standards.

 Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

  • Qualification in Incident Management and substantial operational knowledge and experience of state incident and emergency management practices.
  • Substantial experience with managing or being involved with incidents.
  • Extensive experience with Critical Incident Management Systems (CIMS) and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in maintaining successful business relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Highly developed computing skills, knowledge of Microsoft and corporate software applications and CIMS.
  • Preparedness to work outside of normal working hours at short notice to assist with incident and security management needs.
  • Preparedness to travel anywhere within Western Australia.
