About This Position:
The SBA Credit Manager is responsible for the oversight and direction of underwriting SBA 7(a), and other government guaranteed loan requests by providing support, analysis, and compliance to both LMCU loan policy and SBA - SOP. This position fosters collaboration between SBA credit underwriters, SBA lenders, and SBA loan operations to provide efficient, timely and effective loan presentation to approving authorities. Works with the SBA leadership team to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
What You’Ll Do:
- Provides ongoing supervision to the SBA credit underwriting team on loan underwriting process, credit memo preparation, portfolio risk mitigation and adherence with LMCU loan policy and procedures.
- Conducts high-quality, in-depth financial analysis, including cash flow modeling, collateral evaluation, and market assessment to identify and mitigate potential credit risks. Analyzes complex financial statements through detailed spreading for credit review and underwriting purposes. Collaborate closely with SBA lenders and members to complete comprehensive loan analyses. Provides credit recommendations aligned with LMCU's SBA lending policies.
- Responsible for creating weekly loan committee agenda and scheduling loan committee meetings.
- Responsible for reviewing all credit memo content to ensure compliance with LMCU policy and SBA-SOP.
- Responsible for the production and distribution of reports to the appropriate team members and management to include, but not limited to: loan maturities, annual review, covenant, financial reporting exceptions, past dues.
- Trains and mentors team members on SBA lending programs, updates and new product offerings.
- Partners with SBA loan operations, servicing, and special assets to ensure timely processing, closing, & ongoing management of SBA Loans.
- Serves as the point of contact for SBA-related loan file questions by internal and external parties.
What You’Ll Bring:
- Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
A College Degree.
