The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About The Role

Applications are invited for the position of Specialist in Gastroenterology (Fractional) at Alfred Health to work 1x Endoscopy list per month, 1x Post Endoscopy Histopathology Clinic per week and 1 x MBS clinic that is remunerated by facility fee and private practice agreement.

Qualifications And Experience:

Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:

• Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice.
• Fellowship of the relevant college(s).
• Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
• Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
• Hold conjoint accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy as a minimum requirement.
• Experience in teaching and an involvement in research are desirable.
