SIMPEC have been awarded the main procurement and construction contract for the residue filtration stage 2 project at Alcoa's Pinjarra Alumina Refinery, which will involve delivering infrastructure and services to increase processing capacity to convert bauxite residue into filter cake.

We're currently seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator to join the team! This is a full-time opportunity on a daily DIDO roster, offering 18+ months longevity supporting the project.

About You:

  • Appropriate industry experience in inventory goods in a warehouse or construction receival yard
  • A minimum 4 years industry experience in a supervisory role. 
  • Experience with PRONTO will be highly desirable.
  • A proven track record in effective health and safety management. 
  • Experience in effective planning, scheduling, management of personnel, resources, and equipment to meet Project requirements.
  • Experience in logistics, materials coordination, storage management and procurement.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) 

The Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the materials work crew ensuring the safe execution of materials management along with the team to ensure successful supply of all materials and equipment.
  • Review work packaging and detailed planning.
  • Monitor daily works, including quality inspections, daily progress reporting and safety leadership activities.
  • Coordinate work crew plant, equipment, and materials to achieve operational outcomes and targets, safely.
  • Build professional and positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate and promote site safety initiatives and procedures embracing the SIMSafe culture framework.
  • Strongly demonstrate and support SIMPEC’s core values
