About The Role
The Employer Specialist proactively builds employer and industry contacts and relationships to identify and support Career, and Workplace Specialists achieve successful employment/work experience placements. The role encompasses proactive promotion of Omnia Inclusive services, establishing Omnia Inclusive offerings in both its core candidate/recruitment services.
The incumbent builds understanding of employers’ skill and resource needs and supports their appreciation of the benefits and value of diversity. They play a critical role in ensuring Omnia Inclusive candidates are placed in appropriate and supportive roles and environments and in nurturing the potential for career options for the participants over time.
Alongside their responsibilities for building and maintaining a strong network of supportive local employers, there is also the direct responsibility for implementation of local employer engagement strategies including, but not limited to building and maintaining community partnerships, designing and customizing roles for participants and maintaining employer and community contact information to maximise employer opportunities. They are also required to work with employers to develop Inclusive programs which contribute to a successful onboarding process of participants and build the reputation of Omnia Inclusive in providing quality people for consideration and inclusion within appropriate programs for which they qualify and then ultimately benefit from.
The Employer Specialist applies their industry knowledge to offer tailored support programs for Employers that utilise appropriate incentives and support packages to enable Inclusive Employment. This role has a critical function in working cross functionally with operational staff to help build key employer relationships and support structured offerings.
To thrive in this role, we are looking for:
- Resilience, strong problem solving and planning skills
- Experience in disability employment or an understanding of the barriers faced by individuals with disability in accessing employment
- A track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs
- The ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
- Strong digital literacy skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong administration and attention to detail
- Passionate about making meaningful impact through employment
- The ability to create and foster meaningful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel within your region
