Role Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Business Solutions you will lead on all aspects on day-to-day operations of the Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM platforms at Wood Mackenzie. You will work with key stakeholders to evolve the platform to underpin business success. Supported by a team of Analysts and working with colleagues across the Business Solutions team and wider Technology and Operations teams you will be responsible for ensuring stability, reliability and data security on the existing Oracle Fusion and EPM platforms whilst supporting a continually evolving and growing business through ensuring successful and timely delivery on requirements for enhancements and projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage an Oracle Cloud applications team to support Wood Mackenzies use of Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM using an optimal mix of team members across Wood Mackenzie’s global locations and using 3rd party support organisations where appropriate.
  • Ensure the team is meeting the day-to-day data maintenance requirements to meet business expectations (to include but not limited to users, COA changes, cross validation rules updates, project and task maintenance, updates to approval hierarchies)
  • Manage a rolling release program of enhancements and reporting requests
  • Ensure that the team manages any incidents logged relating to the platform are resolved in a timely manner and escalated to 3rd party support partners and or Oracle as required.
  • Manage the relationship with 3rd party support partners and consultants.
  • Work with Oracle and our 3rd party support vendors to understand the application roadmap including the content of the quarterly releases and how, when and if to apply enhancements to meet internal business challenges
  • Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to understand cross-functional impacts with regard to configuration, process, workflow and reporting
  • Take a lead role in the Business Systems Governance Board to provide updates on activities, gather requirements for future enhancements and projects within the Oracle area, provide details of future updates and releases facilitate the agreement of priorities with the key stakeholders
  • Provide oversight and support to 3rd party and internal application and acquisition integration projects impacting the Oracle platform to ensure they are appropriately scoped and ultimately successfully delivered on time and within budget.
  • Support internal and external audit activities as required and ensure that the controls supporting the Oracle ERP/EPM solution within Wood Mackenzie reflects the governance standards required

About You

  • An experienced Oracle Cloud ERP specialist with a passion and a genuine interest for cloud technologies and products developed over 7+ years
  • Some Oracle Cloud ERP Finance/Supply Chain certifications preferred
  • Experience of working in a complex business applications environment with multiple critical software solutions and integration dependencies
  • Ability to understand complex business process flows and the data dependencies within them
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management and engagement with senior business stakeholders
  • Project management/Delivery experience
  • Vendor Management experience of delivery working with and using key partner resources

Deliverables

  • Team leadership for the Oracle delivery team within Business Solutions
  • SME for Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM Products
  • Responsible for ensuring reliability and stability of processes using the Oracle ERP and EPM product
  • Responsible for managing and delivering a rolling programme of change and enhancements within the Oracle ERP and EPM products

Expectations

  • We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
  • While this is expected to be a full-time role, part-time arrangements will be considered.
  • Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones being worked within our team and our wider business.
