Help Shape the Future of Software Innovation at Stibo Systems

Are you passionate about the potential of software engineering and its ability to revolutionize Master Data Management (MDM)? Do you envision a future where modern software architectures, cloud-native development, and agile engineering practices drive critical innovation in MDM—while combining your academic learning with real-life industrial projects?

"Join us to design and prototype the next generation of software solutions for enterprise master data management," says Jesper Grode, Senior Director, Product Innovation with Stibo Systems.

This position is fixed four-year contract under the Industrial Master’s degree program. We are seeking a candidate to start in February 2026. To be eligible, you must have a relevant educational background in software and meet the requirements to enroll in a Master’s degree program at Aarhus University.

This is the role and main tasks

As an Industrial Master student and key player in our Innovation Team, you will work part-time (25 hours per week) while studying for your M.Sc. degree at Aarhus University in Software Engineering. You will leverage modern software engineering principles, cloud-native development, and emerging technologies to empower and optimize master data management processes. The focus will be on developing prototypes, integrations, and new capabilities that strengthen our multidomain MDM platform and cloud-based offerings.

By combining academic learning with real-world applications, you’ll help shape how businesses manage and scale their data ecosystems through robust, secure, and maintainable software solutions.

More Specifically You Will:

  • Research, prototype, and develop innovative software components for enterprise data management.
  • Design and implement scalable architectures, cloud-native services, and integrations into our SaaS platform.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product specialists and data scientists, to deliver prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
  • Participate in user experience prototyping and contribute to mockups and interface designs.
  • Document findings and present results to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in software engineering, cloud technologies, and system architecture.
  • Align your academic projects and thesis with real-life company cases, bringing new insights directly into our innovation journey.

This is your Team

You will be part of a global Innovation Team, working alongside talented professionals from Denmark, England, Germany, the United States, and beyond. Our agile team embraces rapid prototyping, co-innovation, and close collaboration with clients to bring new solutions to life. With daily interactions and a strong focus on teamwork, we foster a culture of creativity and mutual support.

Technologies include, but are not limited to

  • Programming languages: Java, TypeScript, React, Python
  • Databases: Cassandra, Cosmos DB, SQL-based systems
  • Cloud & DevOps: Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
  • Development frameworks: Spring Boot, Node.js, modern front-end frameworks
  • Software methodologies: Agile/Scrum, SAFe, software architecture & design patterns

Who we are looking for

You are someone with a relentless curiosity for experimenting with new ideas and technologies. You are deeply interested in the future of software engineering, especially how cloud-native architectures, DevOps practices, and modern frameworks can address critical MDM use cases. You push boundaries, and you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

And of course, you’re academically rooted and motivated to pursue your master’s degree. You hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field to us and to the industrial master’s degree program. See https://tech.au.dk/uddannelse/erhvervskandidat (Danish only) for more information.
