About The Role
We’re looking for a Climate Analyst to join our team and make a difference!
Climate is an important lens through which we do business at Intact and the Climate Analyst will help to build action plans that will enable achievement of the objectives in our climate strategy.
This position reports to the Vice President, Climate and will work closely with the Manager, Climate, and other team members.
What You’Ll Do Here:
- Together with team members and leaders from across the business, you will build and execute action plans that carry out our climate strategy. This includes contributing to crafting and driving initiatives that will help society and create competitive advantage for Intact in a rapidly evolving environmental landscape.
- Collaborate with Climate Team members in:
- Contributing to a complete emissions accounting exercise for the company and help establish an internal emissions reporting framework.
- Conducting research & analysis and make presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Preparing reports and presentations to show progress on the projects you manage.
- Fostering climate engagement across business units by mobilizing knowledge, commitment, and action.
- Collaborate on climate-related initiatives with the Social Impact team as it relates to Intact’s Social Impact approach and helping society
- Invest in continuous learning about the climate transition and climate adaptation, sharing your knowledge with the climate team in our effort to build a strong and impactful Climate Centre of Excellence for Intact.
- Contributing to a complete emissions accounting exercise for the company and help establish an internal emissions reporting framework.
- Conducting research & analysis and make presentations to a variety of audiences.
- Preparing reports and presentations to show progress on the projects you manage.
- Fostering climate engagement across business units by mobilizing knowledge, commitment, and action.
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum 2-years corporate working experience in climate change (GHG emissions calculations, research, reporting etc.) – is required.
- Post-secondary education in related field (e.g. Environmental Science, Engineering) – is required.
- Must have advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong proven research and communication (oral, written and presentation) skills – is required.
- Strong data analysis and data management skills - is required.
- Adaptability, agility, and ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment – is required.
- Good project management and relationship building skills.
- Organized and able to manage workflow efficiently.
- Understanding of P&C insurance and/or the finance sector is considered an asset.

- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across Canada, the US, UK, Ireland, and Europe.
