About The Role

We are currently looking for a Manager, Consolidation, Financial Reporting & Special Projects within the Corporate Finance team who will play a key role in supporting our growth. If you’re seeking a stimulating career within a multinational company, in a dynamic and constantly evolving work environment, this position is for you.

You will play a key role in developing and managing complex financial projects that support our strategy and will also, depending on priorities, participate in the preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements. This role requires strong expertise in corporate finance, particularly in consolidation and financial reporting, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.

Here are some of the ways you will make an impact:

  • Supervise and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process for the entire group, including coordination with different regions.
  • Develop and maintain effective consolidation policies and procedures, including optimizing controls in a public company context.
  • Participate in the disclosure of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including preparing/reviewing related notes for Intact Financial Corporation in line with IFRS and best practices.
  • Actively participate in the management and execution of various financial projects such as acquisitions and finance transformation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and the development of new management tools.
  • Coordinate the entire audit process with external auditors.
  • Work closely with various finance departments in carrying out your activities.
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Requirements

  • CPA accounting designation – is required
  • Minimum 6-years of relevant experience, particularly in consolidation and financial disclosure.
  • Skills in using ERP and financial consolidation tools, notably Oracle and Workiva, are assets.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS (an asset).
  • Experience in a public company and/or in the insurance sector, in an international and multi-currency environment (an asset).
  • Proven experience managing complex financial projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, and rigor.
  • Proven leadership, team spirit, autonomy, and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be agile.
  • Microsoft Office: intermediate/advanced level.
  • Bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking and French-speaking colleagues across the country.
