Overview:

AI & APO Systems Optimization: Gain hands-on experience evaluating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools available in the market and their potential application in APO (archive/Pipeline) Operations. 

Objectives

• Gain hands-on experience evaluating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools available in the market and their potential application in APO (archive/Pipeline Operations) operations.
• Explore how AI can support automation in daily health checks, predictive hardware failure analysis, and network traffic optimization.
• Learn how to leverage JIRA, CONFLUENCE (Atlassian) ticket data as a source for improving efficiency in solving recurring issues.
• Develop practical insights into how AI-driven solutions can reduce operational workload and improve system reliability.

Deliverables

• A comparative report of AI tools, highlighting possible applications, benefits, and limitations in APO operations.
• A proof-of-concept (PoC) or prototype showcasing at least one AI use case (e.g., predictive failure detection, network optimization, or JIRA-CONFLUENCE-based problem resolution).
• A data exploration summary using JIRA tickets to identify patterns and opportunities for automation.
• Final presentation with recommendations and lessons learned during the internship.

Requirements

Required / Core Competencies (expected at entry level):

• Software Engineer student.
• Basic knowledge of programming (i.e.: Python).
• Familiarity with databases and data management concepts.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, and IT operations.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.

Desirable (can be learned during the internship):

• Experience with machine learning or data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Understanding of APO monitoring practices (health checks, hardware monitoring, network traffic).
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA (Atlassian).
• Skills in data visualization or business intelligence tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
