Join our Fault Management team in Amadora and start your career in the world of 4G and 5G mobile networks.
As a trainee, you will be part of the RD team responsible for reviewing and troubleshooting trouble reports (bugs) in Nokia’s RAN Layer 1 (L1) software. This role offers hands-on experience in C++ debugging, exposure to real Telecom product issues, and the chance to collaborate daily with multiple development teams on software that powers the mobile networks of the future.
This is an opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic environment, learn directly from experienced engineers, and contribute to improving the quality and reliability of advanced mobile network products.
- Position: Internship
- Duration: 12 months
- Start date (tentative): November, 2025
- Location: On-site in Amadora, Portugal
- Education recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their BSc or MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school
- Debugging and assessing C++ code to investigate trouble reports
- Apply troubleshooting methods to identify and resolve complex issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams working on different RAN software components
- Gain knowledge of 4G and 5G RAN system architecture and protocols
- Document findings and contribute to team knowledge sharing
You Have :
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. student (Telecommunications, Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field)
- Knowledge of C++ programming and software development practices
- Ability to evaluate and solve problems with a debugging mindset
- Familiarity with mobile networks, particularly 4G and 5G RAN technologies
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
It would be nice if you also had:
- Proactive, self-directed, and motivated to learn
- Experience with Linux OS is a plus.
- Understanding of LTE/5G system concepts is a plus.
