Key Details:
Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.
Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.
Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Department Summary
The Corporate Communications team serves as the company’s external voice to media and stakeholders, supports our Corporate team and eight cruise lines with strategic communications, leads messaging for corporate priorities across the organization and provides guidance on emerging internal and external issues. Every action we take supports the company’s Purpose and Mission – anchoring our communications in our shared reason for being.
Internship Project Summary
Project Title: Visual Asset Management System Development and Content Creation
Objective: The intern will help lead a vital project to build a centralized digital content hub that consolidates over 50 years of Carnival Corporation and brand history – photos, videos, documents and marketing materials – into one accessible resource. This tool will empower teams to easily discover and use high-value content that celebrates our legacy and supports impactful storytelling across the company. In addition, the intern will support day-to-day communications tasks, including content creation and materials development for internal and external communications.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)
Primary Responsibilities
- Support process for identifying and securing digital asset management system
- Investigate/identify/help procure AI tools to help:
- Streamline the gathering, organizing and archiving process
- Support ongoing maintenance and upkeep of existing and new assets
- Collect, centralize, audit and organize scattered content from across the Corporation and brands
- Assist in identifying, cataloging and labeling master/original copies, when possible
- Assist in tagging and categorizing assets for improved discoverability
- Discard/destroy duplicate and unwanted materials
Identify gaps and propose topic/material additions
Secondary Responsibilities
Support day-to-day communications tasks, including, but not limited to:
Internal comms: drafting content for intranet and newsletter posts, maintaining new Corporate Snapshots page on SharePoint
External comms: preparing materials for media inquiries, supporting corporate leaders, including preparing for news interviews, drafting talking points and organizing materials for media engagements
Participate in additional content creation and AI initiatives as needed, such as graphic support for website or internal comms

A strong foundation in the execution of internal and external communications for one of the largest leisure travel companies in the world
Hands-on experience in digital asset management, AI tool evaluation and strategic content organization across a global corporation
Skills in project management, content auditing and gap analysis
Exposure to tools and storytelling strategies that support brand heritage, marketing and corporate messaging
Specific Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including adherence to AP Style
Self-starter with a collaborative mindset
Strong organizational, research and time management skills, as well as attention-to-detail
Interest in corporate storytelling, content creation and strategy
Familiarity with/interest in digital asset management systems and AI tools (preferred but not required)
