Operations and Maintenance Lead – TSA Discover 2
Roles & Responsibilities:
Seeking a Project Manager with IT systems and infrastructure expertise to support the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) under the Security Technology Integrated Program (STIP). The role involves managing technical projects that ensure the operational readiness, modernization, and secure connectivity of TSA’s nationwide security screening technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
• Plan, manage, and coordinate IT system projects supporting the STIP platform, including operations & maintenance, systems integration, engineering enhancements, and cloud modernization efforts.
• Lead cross-functional teams—including engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and data analytics—to define project scope, schedules, and deliverables aligned with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Oversee system improvement initiatives, including device onboarding, platform resiliency, and secure connectivity using Zero Trust and edge computing principles.
• Coordinate the deployment of TSA Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) integration with STIP, focusing on reducing timelines and improving data flow.
• Support data and reporting initiatives, including Power BI dashboard development and real-time data integration.
• Monitor project performance and risks using tools like JIRA, MS Project, and Confluence; develop mitigation strategies and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide clear, concise updates to TSA leadership and stakeholders through briefings, status reports, and EVM metrics.
• Work closely with TSA Government leads and contractors to manage technical dependencies and ensure secure, reliable platform operations.
• Support future-focused initiatives, such as migration to cloud infrastructure and application of AI/ML to improve platform efficiency.

Required Skills & Education:
Candidates must possess:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in federal or transportation environments.
• PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other relevant project management certifications (preferred).
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience presenting to technical and executive-level audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
• Technical background and understanding of modern IT architectures, DevSecOps, cloud technologies, and systems integration.
• Experience coordinating with engineering and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure, resilient platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience supporting DHS or TSA programs.
• Experience with STIP or TSA Transportation Security Equipment (TSE).
• Familiarity with Zero Trust, containerization, edge computing, and secure data environments.
• Knowledge of cloud service models and infrastructure modernization strategies.

Security Clearance:
Candidate must be able to pass DHS suitability screening and meet DHS financial responsibility standards.
