Level 1: £37,280 to £39,152 per annum (Scale I)

Level 2: £39,862 to £41,771 per annum (Scale J)

We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers/Occupational Therapists (grade J and above), Practice Consultants and Team Managers new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should they leave within two years of employment.

For experienced Social Workers new to Norfolk County Council we promise to try and match or better your existing salary, providing its in the spectrum of the grade advertised.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become a part of the Learning Disability Team covering the Western locality of Norfolk. We are looking for a creative social worker with strong values who can work in a strength-based way to promote the skills and abilities of people with learning disabilities. In Norfolk we are passionate about supporting Adults with learning disabilities to lead independent lives and we are looking for a colleague who can help us to achieve this.

You will be a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, based with health colleagues in Park View resource centre in Kings Lynn

It is essential that you hold a professional social work qualification (MA or BA Social Work, DipSW or CQSW) and are registered with Social Work England. You must have knowledge and experience of working under the relevant parts of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act. You will be skilled at working within a multidisciplinary team to achieve good outcomes for people. You will be able to drive and willing to travel to locations across Norfolk and sometimes beyond.

King's Lynn, the largest town in this locality, is a large market town and historic seaport 44 miles west of Norwich with direct rail links to Cambridge in 55 minutes and to London in less than 2 hours. West Norfolk is home to huge beaches from Heacham and Old Hunstanton to Brancaster, loved by kite-surfers. West Norfolk also has two larger market towns, Downham Market and Swaffham.
