About This Opportunity
The Senior Coordinator, Governance and Reporting is responsible for coordinating all key financial, compliance, and operational reporting requirements for the UQ Graduate School (UQGRS). The role also convenes and manages key governance forums for the UQGRS and the broader HDR community, ensuring effective oversight, planning, and delivery of governance processes. Working closely with the Dean, Deputy Dean, Executive Manager, and leadership team, this role supports continuous improvement, agile service delivery, and strong alignment with UQ’s strategic and compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Coordinate financial, compliance, and strategic reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery against UQ and external obligations.
- Convene, manage, and support governance forums, maintaining oversight of action items and ensuring effective business flow through the UQGRS.
- Drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of the UQGRS Operational Plan and maintain an annual calendar of governance activities.
- Provide advice and support to UQGRS management on governance and operational requirements, contributing to strategic and operational planning.
This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 7.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with a strong background in governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement within complex organisations. With excellent organisational and analytical skills, you are adept at managing competing priorities while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
You Will Bring:
- Degree qualification with at least four years’ relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience liaising with and supporting committees, working groups, and external agencies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders as well as independently.
- Proven experience applying advanced skills across university systems, MS Office suite, and website content management.
- Commitment to outstanding service delivery, including the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Strong digital literacy with expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and corporate applications for financial and resource management.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, work independently to meet deadlines, and contribute effectively as a team member across organisational units.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, etc.
