What’S The Role?

We are looking for a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Technical Lead with deep expertise in MS SQL Server, particularly in stored procedure development and optimization. In this role, you will lead the technical delivery of the Bank’s mortgage packaging and home loan pricing applications. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining SQL-based solutions that support batch processing, pricing engines, and data acquisition pipelines, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability across critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers in MS SQL Server to support mortgage packaging and pricing applications.
• Collaborate with mortgage product teams, pricing analysts, and application developers to translate business rules into efficient SQL logic.
• Optimize and refactor existing stored procedures to improve performance and maintainability.
• Ensure seamless integration of SQL logic with SSIS packages and APIs.
• Oversee operational readiness of non-production and production environments, including SSIS and database configurations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Conduct change impact assessments, participate in estimation workshops, and contribute to confidence assessments for SQL-related tasks.
• Support batch job orchestration and data acquisition processes.

What do I need?

• 8+ years of experience in MS SQL Server development, with a strong focus on stored procedures.
• Proven experience in SSIS package development and integration.
• Deep understanding of relational database design and performance tuning.
• Experience with batch processing and data pipelines in banking applications.
• Strong knowledge of consumer banking systems and application architecture.
• Understanding of mortgage products, pricing structures, and packaging workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working on mortgage packaging and home loan pricing platforms.
• Interest in and understanding of Generative AI (Gen-AI) and its potential applications in banking services.
• Proficiency in Python, especially with mainstream data and analytics libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Experience in API development and integration.
