About the opportunity 
 As Head of Last Mile – Victoria, you’ll lead a large, diverse workforce delivering mail and parcels to communities right across the state. This role is about striking the balance — driving safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day delivery while leading network transformation and optimisation in line with Australia Post’s strategic priorities.

You’ll ensure performance and compliance standards are met, while inspiring your teams and delivery partners through a period of sustainable, transformational change — keeping our customers and communities at the heart of everything we do.
 
What you’ll deliver with us 

In this role, you’ll take accountability for the performance, safety, and transformation of Victoria’s our letter and parcel delivery network. You’ll balance operational excellence with the delivery of strategic change — driving customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and workforce engagement, while keeping our people and communities at the heart of every decision.

• Lead statewide delivery operations to meet safety, service, customer, and financial targets while embedding a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Drive transformation by implementing network optimisation, cost reduction initiatives, and customer-first programs in line with Australia Post’s strategic priorities.
• Foster engagement with our people, delivery partners, unions, and communities through open consultation, strong communication, and a One Team mindset.
• Build leadership capability and succession plans while promoting a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture across the Last Mile workforce.

About You

You’re an experienced operations leader with a proven track record in managing large, complex networks and driving transformational change. With over 10 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, you bring both strategic vision and hands-on leadership, always keeping safety, service, and people at the centre.

• Deep operational expertise in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing, with extensive experience leading large-scale organisational change.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage unions, government bodies, and community stakeholders while influencing leaders at all levels.
• Skilled in industrial relations, cultural transformation, and building high-performing, customer-focused teams.
• Commercially astute, with experience in Lean Six Sigma, financial management, and data-driven decision making.
