Job Summary:
Join the Colorado School of Public Health as a Research Coordinator (Research Services Senior Professional). This position is a key member of the school’s Center for Innovative Design & Analysis (CIDA) that will support the regulatory aspects of human subjects research and assist with the day-to-day operations of Center research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee moderately complex Center research activities that are part of larger projects from initiation to close; format and submit manuscripts, manage references for research projects.
- Collect, code, and analyze data obtained to track research in an accurate and timely manner.
- Independently implement and develop processes, procedures, and assessments to ensure the team is meeting deadlines and implementing work as defined in study protocols and in compliance with regulating bodies.
- Act as a Primary Coordinator on multiple trials/studies.
- Ensure IRB is correct for collaborations with CIDA members.
- Maintain a database of human subjects training.
- Assist in collecting documents needed to comply with grants and contracts requests for submissions.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position that reports to the Associate Director for Operations and Administration.

The Center for Innovative Design and Analysis (CIDA), CU Anschutz’s campus-wide biostatistics and data science resource and research center, is comprised of biostatisticians and data scientists who conduct team science across the medical campus, nationally, and globally. The team is comprised of approximately 70 PhD, Master’s, and student members who focus on collaboration including study design, data management, data analysis, and innovative methods development. The expertise of the members is broad, ranging from clinical trials to ‘omics.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience in a research setting.
Substitution: An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of clinical research or related experience.
- Experience with data management and standard descriptive statistics and graphics.
- Master’s degree in research related field.
- Experience with and understanding of statistical terminology.
- Experience with a project manager system such as Smartsheet or others.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience in fostering a community that values a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
- Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Excellent Team Player.
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
- Familiarity with research terminology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think creatively, adapt quickly and work independently.
- Self-starter with a desire to improve human health through research.
- High Level Skills with Computer-Based Tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Etc.).

Anticipated Salary Range:
The starting target salary for this position has been established as $58,000 - $70,000.
The above salary represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
