In This Position…
In this role you will become an expert on our dealer facing web portal known as PTS. Opportunities to work with highly visible initiatives are available with projects such as PTS AI Assistant, connected vehicle data, PTS 2.0, and PTS Enhanced Search. You will be one of our product owners responsible for specific functions or features within the main portal. Daily collaboration with our enterprise tech development team is essential. Your work will focus on delivering new functionality, defining requirements, making test plans, verifying proper functionality, and ensuring quality. Additional responsibilities include supporting production issues, participating in user feedback sessions, and posting dealer communications.
What You'Ll Do...
You will manage new features from concept to production deployment by working closely with the enterprise tech development team. The successful candidate must define requirements, test plans, priority, and timing expectations with care and clarity. Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, planning, and demo meetings will part of your daily schedule.
If any production issues are reported during N. America's working hours you will investigate and be involved in tracking the resolution and communicating status to dealers and internal Ford users. This will involve judgement in understanding the severity of a problem and in some cases logging IT tickets with proper urgency assigned. Some level of technical investigation is expected, for example, using browser developer tools to verify requests and responses or view HTML element details.
As you learn about our systems you will take ownership of and become the subject matter expert of significant features and functions of PTS such as AI assistant, connected vehicle data, vehicle ID, Workshop Diagnostics, Repair Validation Code (RVC) restrictions, Software Validation Code (SVC) process. Expect regular participation in Technician Review Panel (TRP) to get user feedback on our products.
You'Ll Have...
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in STEM related field
3+ years of experience with agile and/or scrum methodologies
5+ years of web application software development experience preferred
You will need to be familiar with data flow and system architecture diagrams involving multiple systems
Prior knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MVC architecture, React is desired
Prior knowledge with automotive and dealership operations
Even better, you may have...

1-3+ years of leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of vehicle communications protocols and devices
Knowledge of automotive warranty processes
Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics
