As a Construction Estimator, you’ll be the technical backbone ensuring accurate material calculations and cost estimates across diverse construction projects. Responsibilities

• Perform detailed material takeoffs from construction plans and blueprints for residential and commercial projects
• Read and accurately interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
• Calculate precise drywall and insulation material requirements and quantities using Excel
• Conduct comprehensive material count calculations for project estimation and bidding
• Prepare professional proposals and documentation for construction bids
• Support procurement activities including material sourcing and vendor coordination
• Collaborate directly with company leadership on project planning and estimation strategies

Requirements

• Engineering or architectural background required in estimating and procuring costs of materials
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
• Proven experience with construction material estimation and costing methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex calculations and data management
• Deep understanding of drywall and insulation installation processes and requirements
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy - estimation errors can impact thousands of dollars in project costs
• Experience working remotely and managing projects independently
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
