Data Platform Engineer

Salary c £52,000 per annum, negotiable based on skills and experience with 34 days off per year, and flexible working

  • Newcastle upon Tyne, hybrid working with 2 office days per week.

As our new Data Platform Engineer in the Data & AI team, you’ll be right at the heart of projects that matter, including some exciting new Databricks work where your ideas and skills will really count.

What You’Ll Do

  • Build and manage data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Python
  • Design and maintain our Databricks roadmap, keeping us future-ready and flexible
  • Keep data secure and support others to do the same with smart, simple guidance
  • Work with teams across the business to create AI-powered tools that solve real problems
  • Make sure the ecosystem is scalable and cost-effective, without losing quality
  • Help your teammates grow by mentoring and sharing your cloud expertise

  • Hands-on experience in Azure cloud engineering and tools like Synapse, Data Factory and Databricks
  • Strong Databricks knowledge and a knack for building smart, efficient data pipelines
