Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile aviation site ✈️. Reporting to the Regional Services Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain the reliability of critical building services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise with people leadership - keeping facilities running smoothly while building strong partnerships with clients, contractors, and the wider BGIS team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance services, ensuring facilities and building services remain safe, compliant, and operational.
  • Manage subcontractors and service providers, ensuring performance against KPIs and contract requirements.
  • Support technical staff, providing guidance and fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Maintain accurate CMMS records, ensuring all maintenance activities are tracked and completed.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS&E standards, essential services legislation, and sustainability requirements.
  • Monitor budgets, invoices, and reporting to support financial management.
  • Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, building trust through consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Proven experience in facilities management with a strong focus on maintenance delivery (planned and reactive).
  • Knowledge of building services, essential services compliance, and contractor management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and teams.
  • Financial management skills including budgeting and reporting.
  • Confidence using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

  • Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Facilities Management, Property, or Engineering.
  • Project management or environmental systems training.
  • Experience in aviation or other complex, high-touch environments.

Workplace Flexibility

This role is based full-time, on-site in Mascot Airport, NSW. Free onsite parking is available once ASIC clearance is attained.
