A Bit About The Job:

We are seeking a Senior Distribution Governance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the risk and governance framework across Distribution. This pivotal role provides expert support and challenge on Governance, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Financial Crime matters. Approximately 25% of the role focuses on overseeing Aviva Investors’ UK Fund distribution arrangements, ensuring third-party partners comply with regulatory requirements and Aviva’s business standards. The successful candidate will lead Risk Owner Meetings, deep dives, and support key business projects. They will also oversee supplier governance activities, including strategy, operational oversight, and participation in the AI Supplier Forum. Acting as deputy for the Head of Distribution Risk & Governance when required, the role supports the embedding of ORCM and promotes a strong governance culture. Responsibilities include managing relationships with Audit, Risk, Compliance, and AAF teams, owning and maintaining relevant policies, chairing committees, and leading on designated compliance requirements. The role also involves providing day-to-day advice, training, and challenge to the Distribution Senior Leadership Team on all governance-related matters.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Degree or appropriate level of industry and technical experience.
• Experience of risk analysis, recording and evaluation.
• Commercial and financial awareness, including knowledge of current trends to identify emerging and changing risks.
• Excellent knowledge of the Aviva Group Risk Framework.
• Good knowledge of the Distribution business.
