• Ensure the QA function operates in full compliance with FSSC 22000, GMP+, RSPO SCC and other relevant standards.
• Lead internal and external audits; manage the timely closure of non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality-related documentation to ensure consistency and traceability.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to regulatory, customer, and in-house quality requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the SD Guthrie International’s Quality and Food Safety policies. 
• Provide clear direction, supervision, and support to the QA/QC team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ownership.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and identify training needs to develop team capability.

3. Laboratory Oversight

• Supervise the laboratory team to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable analysis and reporting.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and maintained per ISO 17025 requirements.
• Oversee documentation, data integrity, and compliance for laboratory operations.
• Lead investigations into customer complaints related to quality issues.
• Implement root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor and validate production and dispatch processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate with production teams on in-process checks, visual inspections, and finished goods verification.
• Participate in non-routine job requests related to new product development (NPD), including product trials, process validation, and risk assessments. 
• Develop and deliver in-house training programs on quality systems, SOPs, good documentation practices, and product quality requirements.
• Ensure operational staff are adequately trained and competent in quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain training records and regularly assess effectiveness.
• Analyze quality data and identify trends for improvement opportunities.
• Lead or support quality improvement projects.
• Provide regular QA performance reports to management and recommend improvement initiatives.

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemist, Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in Food Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 1 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of international GFSI audit standards (FSSC22000), GMP+, RSPO SCC, Kosher and Halal
• Hands-on experience in managing ISO 17025 accredited laboratories.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems.
• Experience in leading audits, managing customer complaints and supplier quality management.
• Proficiency in documentation, training, and quality control processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
• Able to work independently
• Adaptable, proactive, and solutions-focused
