As the Director of Product Management. you will lead strategy and execution for several of FDB’s existing medication workflow products, and new, next-generation products leveraging AI, with a strong emphasis on market adoption and commercial success. This role is both strategic and hands-on: while setting direction, the Director is deeply involved in the day-to-day work of guiding product managers, collaborating with development team and commercial teams, and ensuring products are grounded in real-world customer needs, with input demonstrating a willingness to pay.

Additionally, this role will bring a practical understanding of healthcare workflows and buyer/user personas to ensure products deliver tangible value to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and health system leaders. By leveraging emerging technologies such as AI where they make a measurable difference, this role is focused on products that remove clinical burdens, enable better decision-making, and drive adoption at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for FDB’s next-generation solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Stay deeply connected to the marketplace — buyers, users, and workflows — translating these insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Evaluate opportunities for AI and other innovations to improve clinician efficiency, medication workflows, and customer ROI and provide day-to-day guidance, feedback, and coaching to product managers, ensuring clarity on priorities, goals, and execution.
  • Support the team in overcoming obstacles by providing context, resources, and direction that help development teams deliver the right solutions.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused product culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Clinical/Editorial, Sales, and Marketing to ensure product direction is well understood and executable.
  • Actively provide development teams with the insight, requirements, and prioritization they need to build high-quality, market-relevant products.
  • Work with commercial teams to ensure product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies maximize adoption and revenue.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clinicians, informaticists, and healthcare leaders to validate product concepts and ensure solutions fit into real-world workflows.
  • Regularly engage in customer discussions, site visits, and advisory forums to ensure the product team remains grounded in user needs.
  • Represent FDB at industry events as appropriate, focusing on communicating product value and gaining direct customer feedback.
  • Define and track KPIs that measure product success, including adoption, customer satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and revenue performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and internal standards while maintaining speed and agility in product development.
  • Continuously seek ways to innovate and differentiate FDB’s product portfolio in a competitive healthcare IT market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Healthcare, Computer Science, Business, or related field required; advanced degree (PharmD, MBA, MPH, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive product management experience, including at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven success delivering and scaling healthcare IT or clinical content products with measurable adoption and business outcomes.
  • Experience working with EHRs, clinical workflows, and regulated healthcare environments.
  • Exposure to AI/ML or data-driven healthcare solutions are highly desirable.
