This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, Spain, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do

Lead the development and convergence of embedded software functions in the ECU, ensuring alignment with project planning and regulatory requirements.

Manage the complete software development lifecycle, including internal and external supplier coordination, validation, and risk resolution.

Oversee hardware development of the ECU, including scheduling, component strategy, and industrialization processes.

Ensure system-level integration and validation of both software and hardware components.

Define and manage project needs such as factory configuration files and control laws.

Monitor and optimize software performance metrics (ROM, RAM, CPU, NMVY) to ensure compatibility.

Prepare and support Life Series activities and ensure long-term sustainability of the ECU systems.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technical and economic optimization of product/process development.

What we’re looking for

A proven track record in leading automotive software projects and managing ECU hardware development.

Engineering degree required; Master’s in Automotive, Electronics, or Software Development preferred.

Excellent skills in software validation and supplier coordination.

Strong competencies in problem-solving and project management, with a collaborative approach.

Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.

Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; French is valued.
