Field Service Engineer – Croatia

The role 

We are hiring for a Field Service Engineer in Croatia. Up to 75% travel - 95% of this would be in Croatia with 5% international. 

This role will be focused on power / electrical field service activities (installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault tracing) on Vertiv equipment on customer locations across the region according to Vertiv guidelines and installation manuals Assisting sales team during quotation process.

Responsibilities:

• Regional / National Travel to customer sites
• Troubleshoot and repair full line of AC/DC equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance routines and identify power plant discrepancies
• Perform Power Evaluations, identify power plant discrepancies and make recommendations for corrective action
• Perform field service grade installations
• Can perform site surveys to determine installation requirements and needs
• Familiar with the Field Service Policies and Procedures Manual
• Familiar with all marketing programs
• Use computer to access the E-Mail Systems to upload and download necessary files and information
• Can generate additional service and parts sales
• Perform all work with safety in mind and ensure that all safety measures are met
• Performs field service repairs as directed by management and Dispatch and in accordance with the Request for Visits
• Communicates any needs with the immediate supervisor
• Maintains van and van inventory
• Maintains test equipment and assures up to date calibration
• Maintains tools and computer in proper working order
• Performing all activities in accordance to Vertiv safety guidelines

Education & Certifications:

• High school of electrical engineering
• Knowledge of English language is preferred (both verbal and writing)
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Drivers License (B Category)

Requirements:

• Knowledge of health and safety protocols 
• Electrical understanding of AC and DC power
• Datacentre experience is desirable 
• UPS experience is desirable
