Gardenland Co-op is hiring a part-time Facilities Maintenance Technician.
Status: Part-Time, Permanent, Guaranteed 24 hours per week.
Shifts: Typically, Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm, 3 days per week. However, evening and weekend shifts may be required. Flexible availability preferred for this role.
Work Location: Maintenance Shop in Winkler, however travel to all locations required.
Company Vehicle Provided.

What You’Ll Do:
The facilities maintenance technician is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to ensure the proper functioning, safety and appearance of Gardenland Co-op’s facilities, equipment, parking lots and grounds. This includes general building maintenance, equipment servicing or repair, seasonal upkeep, minor renovations and year-round groundskeeping.
The facilities maintenance technician will follow the established maintenance prevention program.
Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in facilities maintenance and:
- Have experience in construction, carpentry or various trades.
- Have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Are proficient with power tools.
- Have good communication skills, verbal and written.
- Can operate a forklift, scissor lift, lawn and snow removal equipment. (Licensing and training provided).
- Can work in a fast-paced environment that will require walking, standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs, and manual tasks.
- Can work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Can climb ladders and work at moderate heights.
- Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license.
