Software Engineer, Android

Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for Android

Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques

Build reusable Android software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms

Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance

2+ years of programming experience in a relevant language

1+ years experience building complex applications targeting Android in production using its native languages and frameworks

Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques

Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management

Experience in performance debugging and benchmarking

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta

Shipped at least one large-scale product to production, supporting millions of active users

Experience working with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, or NFC

Familiarity with Android connectivity APIs and networking concepts
