Senior Finance Business Partner

Are you an experienced and driven financial professional, passionate about delivering world-class financial insight and strategy?

Affinity Water is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our FP&A and Business Partnering team, supporting our £1bn Capital Delivery programme. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic financial leadership, delivering impactful insights and performance analysis that influence decision-making across our Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery (AS&CD) directorate of over 500 people.

What You’Ll Be Doing:

• Lead on all financial matters within the directorate and senior management team.
• Report and comment on spend and performance to the CFO, Directors and Head of Investment Programme Management.
• Oversee opex and capex reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and regulatory reporting.
• Advise the Investment Committee on project suitability and business cases.
• Drive financial performance improvements, providing analysis, insights and scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
• Own and manage the capex month-end process, supported by two management accountants.
• Develop and coach management accountants and analysts, contributing to the growth of the wider finance team.

About You:

• A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Industry background in utilities, manufacturing, construction or other capital-intensive sectors (advantageous).
• Strong ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.
• Skilled in negotiation, relationship management, and conflict resolution.
• Experience working within a regulatory environment (advantageous)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for clarity and impact.

• Salary £65,000 - £73,000 per annum dependant on skills and experience
