Global Mainframe Modernization Solutions Director (SWAT team lead) (m/f/d)

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and visionary Global Mainframe Modernization Solutions Director to lead our specialized team of experts in delivering cutting-edge mainframe migration solutions.

In this strategic leadership role, you will work at the intersection of business development, technical innovation, and client engagement — helping global organizations modernize their mission-critical systems and embrace the future of cloud-enabled, AI-augmented enterprise technology. 

A core mission of this role is to drive the pivot to Generative AI programming within our mainframe migration tooling and project methodology — embedding AI-assisted code transformation, automated documentation, smart testing, and process optimization into our framework.

You will also lead, with your team, the standardization and industrialization of our qualification, pre-sales, and sales processes, in order to drastically improve our win ratio and revenue stream for the mainframe migration service line — ultimately positioning us as the undisputed leader in mainframe migration services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead innovation in modernization tooling and methodology: Embed Generative AI programming into mainframe migration tools to automate refactoring, detect migration patterns, and accelerate testing.
• Evolve delivery frameworks: Progressively pivot project methodologies toward AI-enhanced, adaptive delivery models to boost quality, speed, and efficiency.
• Standardize and industrialize go-to-market processes: Establish consistent, scalable qualification, pre-sales, and sales practices to significantly raise the bid-to-win ratio and revenue performance.
• Drive growth: Define and execute strategies to expand our presence in the global mainframe modernization market.
• Enable sales success: Partner with account teams to craft compelling, value-driven proposals and AI-differentiated transformation strategies. 
• Lead and inspire: Build, coach, and motivate a high-performing, cross-disciplinary global team.
• Partner for impact: Work with leading cloud and AI technology providers to enrich the client transformation journey.

What We’Re Looking For:

• Proven leadership in mainframe migration and application modernization at scale.
• Hands-on expertise in Generative AI programming (LLMs, AI APIs, automation frameworks) applied to software transformation and delivery.
• Experience maturing and standardizing pre-sales and sales processes to improve competitiveness and win rate.
• Ability to integrate technical excellence with commercial success.
• Strong track record in business development for modernization-driven opportunities.
• C-level communication, stakeholder management, and strategic influencing skills.
• Flexibility to travel internationally.
