Job Description
About The Role
As Head of Technology Performance and Governance, you will be responsible for leading technology performance management, governance, compliance, reporting and financial oversight across the Technology portfolio.
The position ensures robust demand and supply management, effective control frameworks and realisation of technology investments and benefits in line with business goals.
You will oversee technology demand management processes, ensuring effective triaging, prioritisation and resource allocation in line with business strategy, as well as managing supply capacity planning and reporting to meet agreed demand across technology and data teams.
Ensuring compliance with internal and external control frameworks, including audit and risk management requirements, will be a core responsibility, alongside coordinating the tracking and resolution of audit actions and control improvement activities.
Supporting the development of policies and procedures to mitigate risk and strengthen operational excellence will form part of your remit, together with overseeing technology budget planning, forecasting and monitoring of performance against budget.
You will work closely with Finance and Procurement teams on spend tracking, financial reporting and driving value for money, providing leadership with regular updates on financial performance and risks.
About You
In this role, you will bring a strong understanding of technology governance, control frameworks and compliance, together with proven experience in financial management, budget control and reporting.
You will have solid expertise in supplier management and contract governance, alongside a track record of driving performance management through KPI development and reporting.
The role requires you to have the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and effectively facilitate governance forums, as well as an analytical and data-driven approach supported by strong reporting and presentation skills.
A degree or equivalent experience is expected, and professional qualifications or certifications in relevant areas such as ITIL, COBIT, Prince2, PMP, CISA, CGEIT or similar will be considered advantageous.
